2. Open WhatsApp Web and click "Collect contacts"
Go to web.whatsapp.com on your computer with your account already connected. Open WAzap and pick what you want: the people messaging you who aren't in your phonebook, any group you belong to, or a label from WhatsApp Business.
3. Download the file and import it
The file downloads on its own in seconds — CSV for spreadsheets and CRMs, vCard (.vcf) for phonebooks. What WAzap does NOT do
Better you know now than after you install:
- It does not send bulk messages. No blasts, no scheduled sending, no automation of any kind. If you came looking for a mass-messaging tool, this isn't it.
- It does not export your conversations. Message content stays where it is. WAzap exports names and phone numbers, nothing else.
- It does not export profile pictures.
- It does not work without WhatsApp Web open. There's no cloud version and no phone app — it needs your browser session.
- It does not bypass WhatsApp's limits. Nothing here is a workaround for the platform's rules.

Privacy: why nobody finds out
This is the question we get most, so here's the direct answer. WAzap never opens a conversation. It reads what your browser has already loaded, which means no read receipts are sent — nobody gets blue ticks from you, and no one in a group sees any sign that you exported anything.
The processing happens locally. Your contacts are read in your own browser and the CSV is generated on your own computer. We don't read your messages and we never receive your contact list.
What does talk to our server is strictly technical: validating your license key, counting how much of the free trial you've used, and checking whether your extension is up to date. Contacts, never.

Does it work on my phone?
No — WAzap is a desktop browser extension and needs WhatsApp Web open. But the exported file imports into Google Contacts, and from there your phone syncs the contacts automatically.

What exactly is in the exported file?
